Weekly Report: 2/19 - 2/25
This week we focused on reflecting on our original work presentation. I realized that I really needed to improve my reliance on my visual aid. I looked back on my presentation too often causing me to break eye contact a lot. I also need to work on practicing my presentation because it is the closest to my actual final presentation. Additionally, I felt really rushed and I just need to focus on being more prepared. Not bringing my portfolio were such easy point that I missed out on.
I am excited for my second mentor visit on Friday. The last mentor visit was occupied with going over the handbook so we didn’t get to talk about the field itself, so this next one will be fun. We also scheduled a tour of the material science lab at UNT, which will be very helpful for my final product. I need to research popular designs that are malleable and strong.
Going forward, I hope to learn more about the engineering design process. It is essential for engineering and since that is the career I want to follow, I need to become proficient with it. Moreover, I can’t wait to work with professionals and gain a lot of experience in order to further my knowledge about my final product.
